So it has been a long time since a posting has been made. So long in fact that I forgot that I had a blog. Oh well. Today is the last day of CPE unit one for me. For those of you who know about studying to be a minister, you know what today means for me. It is a good day, but yet sad at the same time. I will be leaving some really good people whom I have become friends with during the program this summer. To all of you whom I have met, peace be with you and I hope we meet again.

Peace be with you!

Proud Father?

Labyrinth of Snow

The Beach after Snow last week.

For the past week and for the rest of this one I have and will be studying at the Mercy Center in Madison, CT. as part of a requirement of a Jan. Term class that I am taking called Global Perspectives in Today's Christian Mission. These first two weeks we are in residence at the Mercy Center, which is a great chance to meet people who are from all around the world. I have had the chance to make friends with people from Africa, Asia, and North American. Each has brought to the table their own stories and ideas from their home lands making this a memorable experience. We all are joined together with one common interest, the Mission of the Gospel. We, though divided by many miles are all Christian. This so far has been a very inlighting class and I am so glad that I signed up for it.

The few, the proud, Moravians

For some of you that may not know me or know what a Moravian is... well it is the oldest Protestant Denomination in the world. Moravians trace their roots back to a Priest in 1415 in what is now the Czech Republic. We are not a cult! We are just not well known. Other names of the church include: The Unity of the Brethren, Unitas Fratrum, and Evangelischen Brüder-Unität. What it boils down to is that we are a Christ centered missional church. We have a huge love for music and lovefeasts. We love music so much that we have our own Moravian Music Foundation, to help keep our music alive and to help future generations know about music by Moravians.
